With SERA, even silence felt engineered…
Dead Orbit is a sci-fi horror game set in a cold, industrial future shaped by SERA, a corporation whose systems reach deeper than they appear. Aboard the USCS Halcyon, you step into an environment where isolation, failing infrastructure, hidden protocols, and an unnatural presence slowly erode any sense of safety. What begins as routine unease escalates into a fight for survival inside a ship that seems to know more than it should.
The experience focuses on tension, atmosphere, and psychological pressure rather than constant action. Every corridor, sound, system alert, and fragment of information contributes to the feeling that something is deeply wrong. As you move deeper into the Halcyon and uncover what happened, the line between technical failure, corporate secrecy, and something far worse begins to collapse.
At its core, Dead Orbit is about dread, vulnerability, and the fear of being trapped in a place built to function perfectly while everything inside it is quietly breaking apart.
The project is still actively being built, refined, and expanded, which means core systems, content, visuals, and gameplay elements are still subject to change. At this stage, the focus is on shaping the experience, testing mechanics, and laying the foundation for the full vision of the game.
the Steam wishlist page will become available once Dead Orbit reaches beta and is ready to be presented in a more complete and representative form. Until then, this page serves as an early look into the world, direction, and atmosphere of the project. In the meanwhile, you can read the lore here and follow development updates here.
